After 3 weeks in his new home Wilco’s gone from a tiny little guy weighing in at 11 pounds to 17.8 pounds. We’ve moved to almost exclusively raw food with the exception of treats. We feed him a 1/2 of a Carnivora patty (about 1/2 a pound) three times a day. We rotate between turkey, lamb and beef. He gets kibble as training treats and chicken necks and bison ribs fed by hand a few times a week. Feeding him necks and bones by hand gives us the opportunity to teach gentle (bite inhibition) and the results have been incredible. Wilco a happy, somewhat goofy guy and is thriving on raw food. An added bonus to feeding raw is the reduction in poop that has to be cleaned up.
